Rianna has worked in the transportation electrification space at ZETA since 2021. Beginning as a Communications Intern, she has continuously expanded her role in the organization tirelessly working behind the scenes across the Policy, Regulatory, and Communications teams to drive EV policy forward. A recent graduate of George Washington University, Rianna received a B.A. in International Affairs summa cum laude with a concentration in International Environmental Studies and a minor in Sustainability. A member of the University Honors Program, her undergraduate thesis focused on the geological availability of lithium in the United States in context with domestic EV demand. During her time at GW, Rianna also worked as a Research Apprentice to Dr. Marcus D. King, co-authoring an article for the Center for Climate and Security (CCS) on water weaponization and climate change in the MENA region that was cited by the Wilson Center and listed as a CCS Top Climate Story of 2021. In 2018, Rianna partnered with Centro PASO, a community center in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, and co-founded a 501(c)(3) to help their efforts to combat local poverty and natural disaster impacts on the island. In this role, she had the opportunity to oversee the grant application and installation of a solar power system at Centro PASO. She also enjoyed a very rewarding high school and college dramatic and musical theater career.
