Today, the Zero Emission Transportation Association (ZETA) applauded the White House following its launch of the EV Acceleration Challenge. The Challenge is an effort to highlight efforts by private and public sector groups to support the transition to electric vehicles.
The White House plans to highlight submissions of previously unannounced commitments that fall under four categories, starting with those submitted by March 24, 2023. The four categories cover efforts to develop Tools and Resources; provide Consumer Education and Support; support EV Fleet Expansion; and expand Community Charging access.
In response to the Challenge, Albert Gore, Executive Director of ZETA, released the following statement:
“The EV Acceleration Challenge encourages public and private groups to work together to build the future of transportation and highlights those commitments. Not only will this challenge showcase the many stakeholders committed to this effort, but it will also result in important programs and solutions that will facilitate our transition to electric vehicles. ZETA is happy to see continued leadership from the Biden-Harris administration for the electric vehicle industry.”
